| About
Columbia Crest
Vineyard Wines |
Columbia
Crest
Winery
is one
of America's
favorite
premium
wineries.
Our
award-winning,
affordable
wines
consistently
prove
that
quality
can
be an
everyday
luxury.
Columbia
Crest
Winery
is Washington
State’s
premier
producer
of premium
wines,
which
means
we have
a sizable
team
working
as hard
behind
the
scenes
as our
winegrowers
and
winemakers
do in
the
vineyards
and
the
winery.
Columbia
Crest
Winery
2000
Cabernet
Sauvignon
Traditional
black
cherry
and
blueberry
notes
are
layered
with
toasty
coconut
and
vanilla
in this
rich,
concentrated
wine
from
what
many
are
calling
the
Columbia
Valley's
vintage
of the
decade.
Look
for
this
wine
to grow
increasingly
refined
with
bottle
age.
Columbia
Crest
Winery
2000
Chardonnay
Apple
and
banana
aromas
mingle
nicely
with
toasty
oak.
Immediately
rich
and
lush
on the
palate,
apple
and
a hint
of pear
then
trail
into
a mouth-filling,
supple
finish.
Columbia
Crest
Winery
2001
Gewürztraminer
This
is a
classic
Gewurztraminer
with
aromas
of spice
and
citrus.
It is
the
perfect
aperitif
with
lots
of crispness
and
refreshing
acidity,
and
it is
a terrific
match
for
spicy
Asian
dishes.
Columbia
Crest
Winery
2001
Johannisberg
Riesling
Apricot
and
honeysuckle
are
noticeable
on the
palate.
This
is a
clean,
crisp
wine
that
offers
a hint
of sweetness
on the
balanced
finish.
Columbia
Crest
Winery
2000
White
Riesling
Floral
and
stone
fruit
aromas
are
continued
on the
palate.
It is
an excellent
aperitif
or partner
to a
custard-based
dessert.
Columbia

Winery
1998
Merlot
Columbia
Crest
is known
for
its
soft,
fruity
Merlots
and
this
one
from
what
many
Washington
winemakers
are
calling
"the
vintage
of the
decade"
really
struts
its
stuff.
Black
cherry
and
raspberry
embrace
coconut,
vanilla
and
toast
from
14 months
of barrel
aging.
Columbia
Crest
2000
Merlot-Cabernet
The
2000
Merlot-Cabernet
is blend
of 50%
Merlot,
50%
Cabernet
Franc
and
Cabernet
Sauvignon
harvested
as individual
lots
and
held
separately
for
vinification.
Generous
blackberry
and
raspberry
notes
waft
from
the
glass
and
are
reintroduced
on the
palate.
The
12 month
oak
aging
yields
a supple
mouthfeel
ideal
as your
everyday
red
wine.
The
Merlot-Cabernet
from
Columbia
Crest
is an
ideal
accompaniment
to such
homemade
traditions
as spaghetti
and
meatballs
or grilled
steak.
Columbia
Crest
2000
Sauvignon
Blanc
The
2000
vintage
had
some
unusual
weather
patterns
throughout
the
growing
season
resulting
in additional
hang
time
creating
ideal
sugar
accumulation
and
flavor
maturity.
A refreshing,
crisp
wine
with
melon
and
herbal
aroma
that
precede
a lemon-pear
finish.
Columbia
Crest
1997
Semillon
Semillon
is the
key
ingredient
in two
of France’s
most
famous
whites,
from
Sauternes
and
Pessac-Leognan.
This
Semillon
gives
you
a chance
to see
why
the
French
prize
it.
The
wine’s
citrus,
melon,
and
fig
notes
will
continue
to deepen
in the
bottle,
while
the
relatively
modest
residual
sugar
ensures
that
neither
sweetness
nor
acidity
will
dominate
the
wine’s
finish.
Drink
it now
or give
it a
season
or two
of additional
bottle
age.
Columbia
Crest
2001
Semillon
Chardonnay
This
wine
pairs
well
with
Oysters
on the
half
shell
and
pasta
with
Gorgonzola
cream
sauce.
A pleasing
sipper
with
pear,
fig
and
melon
flavors.
The
finish
on this
lively,
medium-bodied
wine
is clear
and
refreshing.
