United States California
Rated 93 - There are 200 cases of the 2003 Zinfandel Turley Estate (15.2 % alcohol). Grown on an old river bed filled with cobbles, this supple-textured, round, easygoing, hedonistic Zinfandel offers loads of briery, peppery, berry fruit and leafy, herbal notes, a succulent style, and a gorgeous glycerin- and fruit-endowed finish. Far less powerful and concentrated than the epic 2002, it should drink well for 4-5 years.- Robert Parker

United States California Napa Valley Atlas Peak
Rated 92 - Loaded with sweet black currant, plum, and raspberry fruit is the dark ruby-colored 2003 Zinfandel Mead Ranch (a medium to full-bodied, 400-case cuvee with 16.5% alcohol grown on a mountaintop vineyard). Bluer, blacker fruits make an appearance, but what I liked about the wine was its purity and fruit-driven character, with less spice and more of the fruit spectrum represented. Its suppleness and opulence should allow it to age nicely for 5-6 years if not longer.- Robert Parker

United States California Lodi
Rated 92 -Another winner from Howell Mountain is the 2005 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard. It shows beautiful crushed rock, acacia flower, raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry characteristics, full body, supple tannin, and decent acidity. It won’t make old bones, but for drinking during its first 4-5 years of life, it is impressively constituted as well as well-balanced. - Robert Parker

United States California Napa Valley
Rate 90. Elegant, with ripe, rustic plum, smoky sage and licorice aromas and rich black cherry, coffee and spice flavors that deftly balance fresh acidity, a fleshy texture and firm tannins. Drink now through 2012. Wine Spectator

United States California Napa Valley Howell Mountain
Rated 92 - The 2006 Petite Sirah Rattlesnake Ridge offers huge tannins, a dense ruby/purple color, a monster attack, but an excruciatingly tannic finish. This wine is loaded but needs at least 5-8 years of bottle age and should keep for 25+ years. - Robert Parker
United States California Napa Valley
Rated 93 -Two of my favorite Zinfandels include the 2005 Zinfandel Moore Earthquake Vineyard. It possesses the darkest ruby/purple color of these offerings as well as a beautiful perfume of blueberries, blackberries, flowers, pepper, and earth. This complete, rich, beautifully textured, super-long cuvee is one of the top successes of this vintage. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. - Robert Parker
United States California Napa Valley
Rated 93 - One of the most complex offerings here, the 2004 Zinfandel Moore Earthquake Vineyard, offers hints of raspberries, anise seed, and earth along with beautiful purity, a full-bodied, opulent style, and good underlying acidity as well as definition. It should drink well for 7-10 years. - Robert Parker
United States California Sonoma County Dry Creek Valley
Rated 92 - Gorgeous berry fruit intermixed with some spring flowers, loamy soil notes, and earth jump from the glass of the full-bodied 2006 Zinfandel Grist Vineyard. This is a strong effort in the vintage, the wine powerful, rich, and long. It should drink nicely for 5-6 years. - Robert Parker

United States California
Rated 93 - Dark ruby. Very sexy but youthfully reticent aromas of peppery red fruits. Creamy-sweet but bright, with firm acids giving vinosity and lift to the crunchy red cherry and pepper flavors. A bit disturbed in its current form yet stylish, with a fine-grained texture and firm tannic spine. Should be a knockout. - Stephen Tanzer
United States California San Luis Obispo Paso Robles
Rated 95 - A fabulous Zinfandel that reminded me of a Chateauneuf du Pape was the 2006 Zinfandel Ueberroth Vineyard. The wine is full-bodied, opulent, and a super hedonistic as well as intellectual turn-on. It should drink well for 5-7 years. - Robert Parker
United States California Lodi
Rated 89 - Acidity is not an issue for the 2006 Zinfandel Dogtown... The wine has loads of earthiness, some crushed rock and berry fruit, and a straightforward, peppery spiciness. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. - Robert Parker
United States California San Luis Obispo Paso Robles
Rated 94 - From the limestone soils of Paso Robles, the 2006 Zinfandel Pesenti is a beauty. The limestone seems to give Zinfandels in that area acidity, vibrancy, and aromatic personalities, but without sacrificing the intrinsic richness and intensity from low yields. This wine boasts fabulous briery, blackberry, and cherry fruit, a crushed rock note, and a long, heady finish. This is super Zinfandel that should last 7-8 years. - Robert Parker

United States California San Luis Obispo Paso Robles
Rated 92 - A wine that exhibits purity, medium to full body, and sweet black currant and cherry fruit intermixed with some licorice, pepper, and damp earth is the 2006 Zinfandel Cedarman, from young vineyard on Howell Mountain. - Robert Parker
