| Rated 91 - From Turley’s new vineyard in Paso Robles, the 2003 Pesenti Vineyard (600 cases, 16% alcohol) comes across as one of the most Rhone Valley-like wines in the portfolio. Earthy, mineral, peppery, herbaceous notes intermixed with strawberry, cherry, and licorice emerge from this wine. There is a certain austerity and angular character in the finish that kept my score from going any higher. It should drink well for 5-6 years, possibly longer. - Robert Parker |
